Wedding Photographs from Tony and Ahlem’s Big Day
Such a gorgeous wedding at Alexander house hotel, – I love coming here to photograph weddings because you can have luxury and gorgeous backdrops all rolled into one.
A stunning venue like Alexander house needs no introduction really! This venue is near Crawley in Turners Green- it is quite magnificent and beautifully run. I love the entrance way and i imagine anyone turning up here for the first time would have to utter “Wow” – which is what you want all your wedding guests to say – so that your wedding becomes one of those weddings to remember. Equally stunning are the views from the back terrace where guests are usually invited to take their reception drinks and if your summer wedding is blistering hot – you have the option of the shade from the beautiful old trees in the grounds. its always a relief to guests, especially your older guets to be able to step away from the rays of the sun if it gets too intense.
There is also an upper terrace behind the newer additional block that the hotel has bulit with extra-ordinarily lavish suites. the upper terrace is a jewel of an area covered and surrounded by trees and a lovely area away from everyone else where you can enjoy a celabratory drink after your wedding ceremony.
My couple suffered terrible thunderstorms and flash floods in the morning – but the day turned out perfectly well for them. the sun was hot and the skies were blue and we did at times seek shelter from the sun – but with such stunning backdrops the photographs looked gorgeous. the formal photographs were done beneath the shade of the trees and i love them because they have a relaxed feel – which is what I aim for even when i am doing the group family formal photos.
This is what Alexander House has to offer for your wedding in Sussex
“Every couple deserve a wedding day that is nothing less than perfect and at Alexander House you can exchange vows or celebrate in a setting which is truly unforgettable.
With beautifully manicured grounds, unique private spaces and a stunning reception suite with its own private garden, terrace and outdoor wedding gazebo, there are plenty of ways to plan your special day at Alexander House.
To help organise your wedding reception or civil wedding ceremony you will receive support from Helen and her team of wedding co-ordinators who can help bring your dreams to life.
As a venue, they ‘vow’ to offer their Bride and Grooms, full professional support and a promise that your Alexander House Wedding will be one of the happiest days of your life. ( and i have to say i have loved all the ones I have been to there!!)
Buxted Park Wedding Photographers
Buxted Park is a stunning venue for your wedding – its is truly a beautiful place. In one regard there is the astounding buildings with doric columns , stone steps, and architecture of beauty and on the other hand you have the gorgeous views – so take your pick!
“As you drive past the 13th Century church and arrive at this Palladian mansion with its beautiful chandeliers and impressive fireplaces, you will find yourself in Sussex’s finest parkland, providing a unique backdrop for your wedding day. Relax and mingle with friends on the terrace or head for the tranquillity of the lake – a great spot for your wedding photos. In the evening, dine in the stunning Victorian Orangery or spacious Ballroom.
Buxted park are so fantastic all round as they having been doing weddings at this venue for so long, they are highly trained and extremely efficient, any bride considering a wedding here would be rest assured they were in very good hands – The food is beautiful, the staff attentive and the whole place really has a WOW factor. I first went here many moons ago as a guest at a wedding and my jaw dropped on the drive in as it really is so very impressive.
I dont like to take over your day and like to keep it as natural as possible, This is a November wedding but as you can see we had some beautiful moments outside for portraits, but you do need to manage a winter wedding schedule more closely as the days are shorter and it does get a bit chilly – However all was well for Mark and Hannahs wedding day at Buxted Park – Station Road, Buxted, East Sussex, TN22 4AY
So if you are looking for a wedding photographer in east sussex – feel free to contact me, I’d love the chance to be back at the gorgeous Buxted Park

Farbridge wedding Photographers
Farbridge is a stunning Barn venue in West Dean, just outside Lavant Chichester
Sam and Josh had a glorious Spring wedding here with all their family and friends .. The weather was sunny but it was incredibly windy! – but I was so pleased for them to have bright skies and a bit of blue which set off the barns beautifully. Farbridge Barn has grown into one of the most efficient and beautiful barns in Sussex in recent years thanks to Head Chef Simon Dixon and his lovely wife Nicky Dixon who run the place and who have implemented some beautiful changes which really sets the barns off. The private courtyard by the main bridal suite is a lovely hideaway and the bridal suite itself is stunning having been knocked into one.
I love the views of the countryside from the courtyard and i think with minimal movement you can get several differing backdrops to your wedding portraits without having to move very far. Of course you can always go further afield as it was and walk through some of the lanes and paths – you would just have to build that into the schedule – which does tend to fly away……..

Beautiful Farbridge Barn – I had the absolute pleasure of photographing the wedding of Stephanie and Michael at Farbridge Barns . I am priveliged to be a preferred supplier at Farbridge and love going there throughout the changing seasons, because the backdrop is so stunning and you can really get some fabulous shots of the surrounding fields and hills, which look amazing whatever the weather! Stephanie and Michael seem to be a perfect match for eachother, which is wonderful to witness when two people are so devoted and kind and in sync. I like that, makes my day! Spitbank Fort Wedding Photographers
A beautiful wedding for Celia and Christopher at Spitbank Fort –
The weather forecast was a ‘unsettled’ in fact a storm was forecast, so i was slightly apprehensive about the boat trip over to Spitbank Fort for Celia and Christophers wedding. However I had no need to worry the heavens smiled on their day and the sea was calm, the skies became bluer and bluer and the Fort was a most gorgeous and unique backdrop for their wedding
Spitbank Fort, part of a collection of Solent Forts that includes No Man’s Fort and Horse Sand Fort is one of the most exclusive, unusual and AmaZing venues anywhere on the planet.

Arundel park Engagement Shoot
Ahlem and Tony
A pre wedding shoot was booked for my nervous couple who were frightened they wouldn’t know what to do in front of the camera on their wedding day at Alexander House Hotel. I met up with Ahlem and Tony in a favourite spot of mine in Arundel park and we had a lovely few hours in the sunshine. It didn’t take long for them to relax and once I had given them a few tips on how to stand and what they could gain from a few key poses, with the advice they were away.
I think the idea of having your photo taken can be quite daunting, but I love to look for the most natural shot possible so a little bit of advice, a little confidence and hey Presto! Beautiful Engagement Photos

Engagement Shoot – Tony & Ahlem in Arundel Park
Tony and Ahlem are getting married at Alexander House Hotel and Spa in July. We met up again to take some pre wedding photographs in Arundel Park. We had a lot of fun learning a few key poses in the park and luckily we had some rather lovely weather.
My couple were worried they wouldn’t be very natural in front of the camera on their wedding day, which is why the requested an engagement shoot. The idea from my perspective is to meet up and get to know the couple a bit better. By doing so they will naturally be more at ease with you when they see you on their wedding day. Its also an opportunity to see what poses work best for them, and to give them some pointers on how to stand, hold each other, and to loose a few inhibitions. We had a giggle trying various things ( not quite sure about Tony’s ‘GQ” face!) but it was all great stuff and the natural unaware shots were still probably my favourites.
Now I’m looking forward to photographing their wedding at Alexander House,
Good luck with the final preparations!
