Gorgeous Southend barns
Stunning Grittenham Barn Wedding – West Sussex Wedding Photography
Stunning, Stunning Grittenham Barn – I love the relaxed feel of this place – the barn is fully dedicated to your wedding from the day before to 11am the day after your wedding. For a Saturday wedding, that means you have all of Friday to setup and till 11am Sunday to pack up. Tables and chairs are included in the hire price. So all in all thats a pretty fabulous start to choosing your wedding bar The barn seats 120 people comfortably or 250 standing.
You can also hire a marquee for the courtyard creating additional space adjacent to the barn giving you shade on a hot day or shelter on a wet day. Which i have to say has come in very very handy in the SUNshine and very very handy in the Rain! This latest wedding her had every weather you could imagine – but such a fun bunch of people, lively, smiley and up for bobbing in and out weather dictating of course . I remember standing up in the office where you get a group photography shot from and we could all hear the thunder rolling in, and i had to raise my voice ( thinking No body will listen!….) “Everyone gather round – there’s a storm a-coming” and out of everywhere everyone ran into the center spot It was brilliant to watch – one tow three….. give me a wave…. strike a pose!! and off you all go – and then the heavens opened – fantastic! Everyone one escaped the downpour but if you go to the full story on my website you will see what weather occured 1 minute after the group photograph and i think the the weather added to the fun and laughter of the day and made some stunning photographic backdrops for me!!
So if you are looking for a Barn wedding photographer in West Sussex or East Sussex or looking for wedding photography for your Grittenham Barn wedding, I may be the girl for you – I have 12 years experience throughout most of the leading venues in Southern England and i’d love to discuss you wedding plans and photography requirements for your day…. Sam and Josh had a glorious Spring wedding here with all their family and friends .. The weather was sunny but it was incredibly windy! – but I was so pleased for them to have bright skies and a bit of blue which set off the barns beautifully. Farbridge Barn has grown into one of the most efficient and beautiful barns in Sussex in recent years thanks to Head Chef Simon Dixon and his lovely wife Nicky Dixon who run the place and who have implemented some beautiful changes which really sets the barns off. The private courtyard by the main bridal suite is a lovely hideaway and the bridal suite itself is stunning having been knocked into one.
I love the views of the countryside from the courtyard and i think with minimal movement you can get several differing backdrops to your wedding portraits without having to move very far. Of course you can always go further afield as it was and walk through some of the lanes and paths – you would just have to build that into the schedule – which does tend to fly away……..

Alex raised her hands in the air as if to say hallelujah! when Alex and bruce finally tied the knot at South Lodge Hotel in July. We had mixed weather – but lovely and warm and when the showers ceased it was amazing and especially beautiful to go to the lake for a fe quick photos!
The Hotel and grounds are lovely and you would not be disappointed to celebrate your wedding here – it is beautiful and spacious
With an abundance of individually styled bedrooms and suites, and award-winning dining experiences – there are few destinations so perfect for a luxury hotel break, a romantic dinner for two or afternoon tea with the girls. With purpose built meeting and event rooms there are plenty of choices for conferences and meetings, private events or your dream wedding.
Nicola and Paul get married! – Yey!
Nicola and Paul get married at Farbridge Barn – Lavant Valley Chichester Photographers
The weather wasnt perfect but Nicola and Paul had a beautiful wedding at Farbridge on Sunday. The sky was a mixture of clouds and blue patches which I always think adds a certain drama to wedding photographs. Nicola and Paul had a BBQ for their sit down meal and the food was delicious, – I know because I was provided with a plate full – so as i never say noe to food I am going to say – congratulations to Simon and Nickie Dixon who have taken Farbrdige under their wing and developed it into an even more stunning wedding venue in Sussex, but also for running the in house catering team – Cuckoo Catering headed by chef wizard Simon. So if you are considering a pretty barn venue in Sussex for wour wedding day, I do thoroughly recommend this beautiful place – which has the added attraction of amazing views all around. I have been a wedding photographer at Farbridge Barn for about 7 years years and you wont be dissappointed when you see it, I can guarentee.
Sarah & Matt – Wedding at Amberley Castle
On December 19th 2015 Sarah and Matt were married at Houghton Church, nr Amberley and held there beautiful celebrations at Amberley Castle. It was my last wedding of the year, and what an extremely busy year it had been, but I love experiencing the extremes of the seasons. From a wedding on the hottest day of the year at the Walled Garden, (45 degrees inside the barn) to a Christmas wedding which wasnt so much cold but it was windy windy windy!
Sarah and Matt had a marquee erected to accomodate all the guests for their wedding breakfast – surprisingly cosy. The black backdrop was lit by the tiniest of star lights – very pretty, very atmospheric and filled with joy and laughter.
