we had hoped for a beautiful sunny day in June but alas it was not to be…….The outdoor ceremony had to be held inside and the barn was packed out to maximum capacity with 140 guests – slightly soggy but full of happiness
I left Amy and the girls at their Airbnb just down the road and travelled over to the barn to find Ollie and the Boys – It was a packed ocaission – and certainly a buzz in the air for these two with guests flying in from all around the world to be with these lovely people

Cissbury Barns is a beautiful new wedding and events venue and it is so close to me in Arundel – I popped over to see it before Lauren and matts wedding to check it out – so pretty and every way you looked there were ideas for your wedding photography
Set high on the South Downs and completely shielded by woodland you will find the stunning Cissbury Barns. For over two hundred years they have been at the heart of our sheep farming in Sussex and they are now transformed into a unique and stylish wedding and events venue. The secluded setting is an important part of the charm of the Barns. Nestled behind beautiful mature trees the Barns are not visible until you are nearly at the top of the short but glorious drive through the Estate and up the track.
There are two large barns, one fronted by a lawned garden and the other by a beautiful patio. The adjacent open fronted lambing pens are now the much loved and popular bar and lounge area. There is even a Petanque court for boules. Bespoke large doorways allow light to flood into the barns and connect all the spaces.

Farbridge wedding Photographers
Farbridge is a stunning Barn venue in West Dean, just outside Lavant Chichester
Sam and Josh had a glorious Spring wedding here with all their family and friends .. The weather was sunny but it was incredibly windy! – but I was so pleased for them to have bright skies and a bit of blue which set off the barns beautifully. Farbridge Barn has grown into one of the most efficient and beautiful barns in Sussex in recent years thanks to Head Chef Simon Dixon and his lovely wife Nicky Dixon who run the place and who have implemented some beautiful changes which really sets the barns off. The private courtyard by the main bridal suite is a lovely hideaway and the bridal suite itself is stunning having been knocked into one.
I love the views of the countryside from the courtyard and i think with minimal movement you can get several differing backdrops to your wedding portraits without having to move very far. Of course you can always go further afield as it was and walk through some of the lanes and paths – you would just have to build that into the schedule – which does tend to fly away……..
